Scribo letterpress is a printing- and paper studio based in Oslo, Norway, specializing in high quality stationery and paper goods, Offering letterpress- and hotfoil printing - either printed in house on a Jardine treadle platen press from 1930 or by Scribo printing partners.

The press is run by a foot treadle and each piece of paper is manually fed through the press one by one. The soft cotton paper is pressed against the design leaving a deep and crisp impression. Because everything is done by hand, the letterpress process is very personal and time consuming and gives the paper that very special tactile and luxurious feeling. Letterpress is not only about how things look, but just as much about how things feel - that is what makes the letterpress technique so unique and special.

The Scribo packaging is made of FSC certified board and plastic is kept at a minimum, minimizing our footprint.

The heart and hands behind Scribo

I am Silja - the founder and managing director of Scribo letterpress. I am passionate about paper works and paper products and love the look and feel of paper.. My ambition is to create bespoke paper products, using the very best paper makers and products, to craft something special for my clients when they want to make a lasting impression.

At Scribo letterpress most of the processes are done by hand - the design, the prototyping, the printing, the cutting, the assembly. Therefore, two pieces never look alike - that is the beauty of everything handmade and authentic.
